Jello dessert, for summer parties!

Want a summer dessert? Then a jello dessert is what will freshen your summer parties :) It is easy, quite popular and very tasty... See how you can do it :

Ingredients

  • 2 packs petit-beurre biscuits (or digestive)
  • 1 large can of fruits in syrup (your choice)
  • 1 box jello (any flavor)
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 4 tbsp flour
  • 3 tbsp corn flour
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. Prepare biscuits: Drain canned fruits and use the syrup to moisten the biscuits. Layer them in a rectangular dish (20×30 cm) suitable for the fridge. Place in the fridge while making the cream.

  2. Pastry cream: In a small saucepan, heat 1½ cups milk with sugar. Dissolve flours in remaining ½ cup milk and add to the saucepan. Stir constantly until it thickens. Remove from heat, whisk in egg yolks, then return to low heat and stir in butter for 2–3 minutes. Let cool slightly.

  3. Assemble cream layer: Pour cooled cream over the biscuit layers, spreading evenly. Chill in fridge.

  4. Prepare jello: Follow box instructions, then let it cool slightly.

  5. Add fruit & jello: Arrange canned fruits on top of pastry cream. Slowly pour jello over fruits using a spoon to avoid sinking. Cover and refrigerate for several hours or overnight until set.

Tips & Variations

  • Use mixed fruits or seasonal fresh fruits for a fresher flavor.

  • For extra fun, try layered jello with different flavors.

  • Serve chilled for the best refreshing effect.

 Enjoy!
