🌟 Difficulty | ⏱️ Time | 🍽️ Serves | 🔪 Skill level

What to do in a rainy day? Make chocolate chip cookies and boost your moral and the one of your dear ones to the maximum :)
Classic recipe, that similar you can find all around the web, but I like to keep good recipes once found, so here it is the one that I prefer...

A timeless classic—crispy on the edges, soft in the center, and packed with chocolate. Perfect for cozy days, family baking, or anytime you need a sweet boost!

Ingredients (~30 cookies)

  • 250 g butter, softened
  • 100 g brown sugar
  • 100 g white sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 350 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 200 g dark chocolate chips or chunks

Instructions

1. Preheat Oven
Preheat oven to 170°C (fan). Line baking trays with parchment paper.

2. Cream Butter & Sugar
Whisk butter with both sugars until light and fluffy.

3. Add Eggs & Vanilla
Add eggs one at a time, mixing well. Stir in vanilla.

4. Add Dry Ingredients
Add flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix until a soft dough forms.

5. Add Chocolate
Fold in chocolate chips evenly.

6. Shape Cookies
Form dough balls using your hands, or for a more even and professional result, use an ice cream scoop to portion the dough. Place on the trays, slightly flatten, and leave space between each cookie.

7. Bake
Bake for 10–15 minutes depending on size, until edges are golden.

8. Cool & Enjoy
Let cool on a rack before serving (if they last that long!).

Tips & Variations

  • Chill the dough 20–30 min for thicker cookies.
  • For gooey cookies: slightly underbake.
  • Add nuts (walnuts or pecans) for crunch.
  • Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top before baking for a bakery-style finish.
