Souvlakia (Greek Grilled Meat Skewers)

Souvlakia: Culinary Delight in Small Pieces!

A staple of Greek street food, souvlakia are juicy, marinated meat skewers grilled to perfection. Easy to make at home, they bring the authentic taste of Greece to your table.

Ingredients

  • 2 pork tenderloins

  • 1 tablespoon mustard (with seeds)

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • 1 tsp oregano

  • Olive oil

  • Zucchini, eggplants

  • Salt & olive oil

Instructions

  1. Cut the pork tenderloin into small cubes.
  2. Add salt, pepper, oregano, mustard, and a splash of olive oil.
  3. Mix well and let the meat rest in the fridge for 1 hour.
  4. Thread the marinated meat onto skewers.
  5. Grill on the BBQ until cooked through.
  6. For the vegetables: slice zucchini and eggplant, sprinkle with salt, drizzle with olive oil, and grill alongside the souvlakia.
  7. Serve the souvlakia with the grilled vegetables – a perfect combo that’ll leave you craving more!

Serving Tips & Variations

  • Souvlakia pairs wonderfully with pita and tzatziki.
