Souvlakia: Culinary Delight in Small Pieces!
A staple of Greek street food, souvlakia are juicy, marinated meat skewers grilled to perfection. Easy to make at home, they bring the authentic taste of Greece to your table.
Ingredients
- 2 pork tenderloins (or 700 g shoulder or neck)
- 1 tablespoon mustard (with seeds)
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 1 tsp oregano
- Olive oil
- Zucchini, eggplants
- Salt & olive oil
Instructions
- Cut the meat into small cubes.
- Add salt, pepper, oregano, mustard, and a splash of olive oil.
- Mix well and let the meat rest in the fridge for 1 hour.
- Thread the marinated meat onto skewers.
- Grill on the BBQ until cooked through.
- For the vegetables: slice zucchini and eggplant, sprinkle with salt, drizzle with olive oil, and grill alongside the souvlakia.
- Serve the souvlakia with the grilled vegetables – a perfect combo that’ll leave you craving more!

- Souvlakia pairs wonderfully with pita and tzatziki.
