French breakfast to it's best! Waffles are called "gaufres" in french and if you have never tried them before or were looking for a basic recipe that it's easy and works very well, then try this one :)
Ingredients
- 250 g flour (T45 recommended)
- 10 g baking powder
- 2 eggs
- 500 ml milk
- 100 g butter, melted
- Pinch of salt
Instructions

Prepare the batter: In a large bowl, mix all ingredients using a hand mixer until smooth and lump-free. The batter should be medium-thick.

Preheat waffle iron: Heat your waffle maker until ready. Lightly grease if needed.

Cook waffles: Pour a small amount of batter into the center of each section. Close the lid and cook until golden and no more steam is coming out (about 3–5 minutes).

Serve: Remove carefully and serve warm with your favorite toppings.
Tips & Variations
- Avoid overfilling the waffle iron to prevent batter from leaking.
- Serve with chocolate, Nutella, honey, caramel, or fresh fruits like bananas and berries.
- Add a teaspoon of vanilla or sugar for a sweeter version.
