Easy Kourou Tyropitakia (Feta Balls) in the Ninja Crispi Air Fryer

These kourou tyropitakia are one of the easiest Greek cheese snacks to make. Prepared as small feta balls, they are soft and fluffy inside, lightly crisp outside, and perfect for the Ninja Crispi Air Fryer.

No fyllo, no rolling — just mix, shape, and air fry.

👉Check also this variation using an Air fryer:

Ingredients (for about 20 Feta Balls)

  • 200 g feta cheese, finely crumbled
  • 120 g Greek yogurt
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • A few drops of cider vinegar
  • 30–40 g grated Gruyère or similar cheese
  • 200 g self-raising flour
  • White pepper, to taste

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, mix the feta, yogurt, egg, olive oil, cider vinegar, grated cheese, and white pepper.
  2. Gradually add the flour and mix until you get a soft, slightly sticky dough.
  3. Divide the dough into about 21 equal pieces and roll into small balls.

Air Fryer Cooking (Ninja Crispi)

Place the feta balls in the Ninja Crispi basket in a single layer, slightly close but without touching.
I managed to fit 20 pieces comfortably.

Cook at 180°C for 10–12 minutes, until lightly golden. No turning is usually needed unless they are too tight and in that case, please turn midway.

Tips

  • Do not overwork the dough — it should stay tender
  • Lightly oil your hands if the dough sticks
  • Serve warm or at room temperature

Soft, cheesy, and incredibly easy — a no-fuss Greek classic made modern.
