No fyllo, no rolling — just mix, shape, and air fry.
👉Check also this variation using an Air fryer:
Ingredients (for about 20 Feta Balls)
- 200 g feta cheese, finely crumbled
- 120 g Greek yogurt
- 1 egg
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- A few drops of cider vinegar
- 30–40 g grated Gruyère or similar cheese
- 200 g self-raising flour
- White pepper, to taste
Preparation
- In a bowl, mix the feta, yogurt, egg, olive oil, cider vinegar, grated cheese, and white pepper.
- Gradually add the flour and mix until you get a soft, slightly sticky dough.
- Divide the dough into about 21 equal pieces and roll into small balls.
Air Fryer Cooking (Ninja Crispi)
Place the feta balls in the Ninja Crispi basket in a single layer, slightly close but without touching.
I managed to fit 20 pieces comfortably.
Cook at 180°C for 10–12 minutes, until lightly golden. No turning is usually needed unless they are too tight and in that case, please turn midway.
Tips
- Do not overwork the dough — it should stay tender
- Lightly oil your hands if the dough sticks
- Serve warm or at room temperature
✨ Soft, cheesy, and incredibly easy — a no-fuss Greek classic made modern.
