Greek Tyropitakia with Fyllo in the Ninja Crispi Air Fryer

Tyropitakia with Fyllo are a classic Greek cheese meze, and they adapt beautifully to the air fryer. Shaping them as small rectangles instead of triangles allows you to fit more pieces at once — even in a compact air fryer like the Ninja Crispi.

Using one sheet of fyllo per roll keeps them light, crisp, and perfectly suited to air frying.

👉Check also this variation using an Air fryer:

Ingredients (for 16 Tyropitakia)

  • 4 large fyllo pastry sheets (cut into 4 rectangles each)
  • 200 g feta cheese, finely crumbled
  • 1 egg
  • 20–30 g grated graviera or kasseri (optional)
  • White pepper, to taste
  • Olive oil or melted butter, for brushing

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, mix the feta with the egg, white pepper, and, if using, the grated cheese. The filling should be creamy but not runny.
  2. Lay one fyllo sheet on your work surface and brush it lightly with olive oil.
  3. Cut the sheet into 4 equal rectangles.
  4. Place one spoonful of filling at the edge of each rectangle.
  5. Fold the sides inward to enclose the filling, then roll into a neat rectangle without tightening too much.
  6. Brush the top lightly with olive oil and repeat with the remaining sheets to make 16 tyropitakia.

Air Fryer Cooking (Ninja Crispi)

Arrange the tyropitakia in the Ninja Crispi basket in a single layer, seam side down.
I managed to fit 16 pieces, slightly snug but without overlapping.

Cook at 180°C for 8–10 minutes, until golden and crisp. Turn once if needed.

Tips

  • Do not roll too tightly to avoid cracking and dryness
  • Use minimal oil for a light, crisp result
  • If your basket is smaller, cook in batches for better airflow

Crispy, cheesy, and ready in minutes — a modern way to enjoy a Greek classic, even in a small kitchen.
