No-Bake Cakes, Low-Bake Treats & Energy-Saving Desserts

Not every sweet moment needs the oven. No-bake desserts are not only practical and refreshing, especially in warmer months, they are also a great way to save energy.

Interestingly, many Greek-style desserts naturally fit this idea: layered sweets made with biscuits, cream, yogurt, fruits, or jello. Two examples already shared on the blog are: Mosaic Cake (Kormos) that my children get crazy with and Jello Dessert. Both are simple, nostalgic, and perfect for spring and summer.

Cheesecake-style desserts

Creamy desserts with biscuit bases are among the easiest no-bake options. Using crushed biscuits, butter, cream cheese or Greek yogurt, and fruit topping, you can create beautiful refrigerated desserts perfect for summer gatherings.

I am currently testing different no-bake cheesecake recipes and, once I find the version I truly love, I will definitely share it here on the blog. For the time being, check my truly spectacular New York Cheesecake recipe.

Banoffee-style desserts

Another easy crowd-pleaser: Biscuits, Bananas, Cream, Caramel or dulce de leche. Check my amazing banoffee recipe. Simple, comforting, and always popular.

Chocolate mousse & layered desserts

Chocolate mousse cakes and layered cream desserts are another elegant no-bake option while remaining very simple to assemble.

Low-bake recipes are great too

Some desserts only need a short baking time and are another wonderful option:

I am also currently studying and testing madeleine recipes and slowly approaching the final version I want to keep and share.

Air fryer = smaller portions & less energy

Using the air fryer for small batches is also very practical:

  • Faster
  • More energy-efficient
  • Perfect for smaller quantities

And honestly, smaller portions can also help with balance and weight control while still enjoying homemade sweets.

Whether no-bake or low-bake, simple homemade desserts often bring the most pleasure: less effort, less energy, and more everyday joy 🤍
