Greek Garlic-Potato Puree (Skordalia)

[Updated 20/03/2025]

A creamy, garlicky potato puree, this traditional Greek side dish is rich in olive oil and garlic. It pairs wonderfully with Crispy Greek Cod (Bakaliaros Skordalia) (fried cod with garlic-potato puree), a dish especially enjoyed on Greece's National Day, March 25th.

Whole grain bread

A bread today with the healthy (and also tasty) touch of the grains. It's an easy recipe and apart from the fact that I use whole grain flour, the procedure it's similar to the one that my mother and grand mother were doing for any kind of bread. The result was soooo great that I would urge you to try it@!

Greek Sausage and Pepper Stew (Spetzofai)

[Updated 26/02/2025]

Spetzofai is a rustic Greek dish made with country-style sausage, peppers, eggplants and tomatoes, simmered together in olive oil.
This one-pot meal is perfect for cooler weather, offering a balance of savory, spicy, and tangy flavors.
A recipe coming from the mountain of the Centaurus, Mt. Pelion (famous in Greek mythology for its half-men, half-horses), it can be enjoyed as a main dish or as a starter.

Greek Custard Phyllo Pastry (Galatopita)

Galatopita is a traditional Greek milk pie with a rich custard filling and a golden, crisp top. I make mine with phyllo, like an uncovered Bougatsa, for the perfect crunch-to-cream balance.
Kids love it—mine always sneak warm custard with cinnamon while they wait for the pie!

Greek Lentil Soup (Fakes Soupa)

[Updated 20/03/2025]

A hearty, protein-packed, and comforting Greek classic—this lentil soup is simple, nourishing, and full of Mediterranean flavor.

Croziflette, savoy specialty!

Croziflette today, a traditional french recipe and special tribute to the french region known for the Alpes mountains, Savoy! It's a twist from "tartiflette" that is made with potatoes, while this one is made with a special type of pasta that is called "crozet" that has the shape of tiny squares. It is not a dish that is low in calories, but it is a perfect dish for apres-ski after spending a full day in the slopes. So, ski maniacs all around the globe, this is for you :)
If you cannot find crozets, you can replace it with any small pasta.

Chocolate marble cake

An easy and old-time-classic cake today. I made it for the school of one of my kids to sell and fund their trip. I chose this cake as many people like this cake and it is true that it disappeared immediately.
The best compliment was the one of my kid that when he saw that the cake was sold immediately, said the sweetest thing to my husband : "Mum has something magic in her hands that makes everything that she cooks delicious" .... Am I not lucky with such kids?
